Couldn't agree more. I'm usually against using the American flag as a
blanket, but man I can't get out of her smile. Her husband is one lucky
fellow! Also I don't see this photo as Sam, I think it's Amanda. I
wish it was a poster.

I remember when my roommate and I actually thought of her as a babe instead
of Geekgirl. It was an ep of Stargate and she was on leave or something
because she was in civilian clothes; jeans, white tshirt and a white trench.
And we were like, "Wow, Sam's got boobies!" Ah, the days of geekhood.

One of those pictures has "99" on it, presumably the year that photo
was taken... SG1's second or third season. So she's now 7 years older
(and looks it). Back then she still looked cute; now she looks like my
grandmother (shiver).

OK, but your grandma must really be something else.

I came along when my parents were over 40, so I, more than most, see parents
and othe relatives as very aged looking. Only later did I discover that
parents can sometimes be extremely attractive.

At any rate, I'm going to assume your parents obtained you when they were
young, and that the same pattern was probably repeated by their parents.

Your grandmother must have had kids at a pretty early age.

Hey, if we can respect the sexiness of non-skinny women, we should also
recognize that maturity also is no obstacle, and often an improvement.

Be aware that many women feel the same about men....... except
that we might put the threshhold a bit lower.

I'm fine with that. I'd have to be an idiot to try to convince myself
that I look as good as I did when I was 21. I'd also have to be an idiot
to tell myself that I can still do physical things as well as I once
did, and that the pains and aches I've accumulated are illusions.

Maturity may not always be an obstacle, but it surely is never an
improvement, unless you are talking mental maturity.

"Past your prime" is a myth, as any personal trainer worth his salt will
gladly tell you. Jack Lalanne is in his 80s and he's still as strong and
vital as ever. I mean yeah, he looks old of course, but he could
probably deadlift YOUR fat ass without breaking a sweat. = )

Should point out how exercise and a healthy lifestyle does so much more
for you than fad diets. Look at Nathan pritikin of low-fat diet fame
and the "longevity center" that bears his name. Dead of heart disease
by age 65. What about Robert Atkins of the low-carb diet generation?
Dead at the age of 72 from, still contested (for obvious reasons),
heart disease, while, not contested, clinically obese.

Old and out of shape has nothing to do with chronology. Why men have
long been attracted to young, fertile females for eons driven by the
urged to procreate, modern society not wanting to have children but
plenty of good sex has been steering toward attraction to older, more
experienced women of similar body type.

Go on Google, look at the pictures of him when he was young and pictures

It's all downhill from 21.
That's truly, fabulously wrong. If a youthful look is your priority, and
for many it is, it actually is all downhill after about 15.

Instead we are in a truly golden age WRT older women and lookin' good. It
is the best time in history to be a guy.

The *real* distinction under this heading, god's unfair discrimination
against the gals, is their sudden dropoff at a later age.

When Nancy Sinatra posed for Playboy in her 50's, it was clear that there
couldn't be a better time to be a guy.

But at some point, even Sinatra's going to hit that point where she loses
it.

Guys, instead, go verrrry gradually into our deterioration, with exceptions
of course. The gals have exceptions too. Has anyone noticed Sally Field
recently in a commercial for a calcium supplement? That gal is going to
look sexy 'till the day she dies.

But downhill from age 21? Two words: Diane Lane. (<shortness of breath>)

of course. The gals have exceptions too. Has anyone noticed Sally Field
recently in a commercial for a calcium supplement? That gal is going to
look sexy 'till the day she dies.
That gal is going to look 43 until the day she dies.
That's fair. But I've no problem with 43. My problem is having fantasies
where I'm fucking the flying nun.

Oh, I wasn't saying there's anything wrong with looking 43; Sela Ward
was holy-shit-OMG-gorgeous at 43. I daresay MOST women don't really
start looking good until post-38 or so.

I guess you are lucky then since there is less competition for women of that
age group. Personally I think women's looks go downhill at 37.

One of those pictures has "99" on it, presumably the year that photo
was taken... SG1's second or third season. So she's now 7 years older
(and looks it). Back then she still looked cute; now she looks like my
grandmother (shiver).
Your grandmother must have had kids at a pretty early age.
Hey, if we can respect the sexiness of non-skinny women, we should also
recognize that maturity also is no obstacle, and often an improvement.
No.
It's all downhill from 21.
Maybe 28. But that's cool because I'm guessing you are younger than I.

Actually yes she does; at 21 she was skinny and kinda gawky, like an
underweight chicken. Now she's filled out and curvy and the extra few
pounds she has compensate for the minor things going on with her
skeletal structure, like a slight overbite and a little too much chin.
She's a hot babe, dude, you ain't gonna change my mind.

And if you want a further example of "looks better older than younger,"
you might wanna compare Gillian Anderson at 21 and at 31. After the baby

That's a big assumption. It could also indicate that it's the 99th
photo in a series. Or some other sort of identifying mark that has
nothing to do with when it was taken. You're making a big assumption
there.

Just because a woman has more meat on her body than your hand doesn't
make her chunky.

Of course that attitude does make your hand your most likely sexual

It's not VR's fault, obviously excessive exposure to Hollywood and fashion

I'm with that. Folks that like Kate Moss and the ultra-skinny bod are
welcome to their preference. Amanda Tapping is not exactly my type, but she
is almost exactly the right size and shape.

I've known dozens of women who obssess over an extra ten or twenty pounds
(above "ideal,") but unless it all collects very narrowly in a single area
(which it does, unfortunately, for some people, thus throwing off the body's
aesthetic,) I usually prefer the look of the excess.

You're high... and you are obviously trying to initiate some kind of

How do you deem a girl to be "underweight"? It's next to impossible,

When you stop getting menus. This is in contrast to menopause which
occurs at a much later stage in life.

You are not aware of our little insider put-on with misspelled words.
Kolker is notorious for it and I am trying to catch up with him.

I worked for a small company where the owner loved to issue memos all
the time. He went out of town and when he came back he started back
up. A secretary brought several memos by my office and I informed her
that I was sure glad we were back to getting memos every day, because
I had suffered from a severe case of memopause. Five minutes later you
could hear the entire company in laughter as she made the rounds.

You're high... and you are obviously trying to initiate some kind of
heated debate by saying that.
How do you deem a girl to be "underweight"? It's next to impossible,
unless you are her doctor.
When you can see bones through the skin, that's underweight. When
they cease to have the muscles they once had, lose their (already small)
bust, that's underweight.

Compare Kiera in "Bend it like Beckham" to the Pirates premiere
last week. In the first she's slim and healthy, in the latter she's
a walking skeleton.

She looks fine. People who do not look that good just like to snark
and say "she's sick".

It makes them feel vindicated or something.

The tabloids, People, Star, etc.. know this -- and they play it up.

Then, said people read these magazines and say "See? I knew she was
sick."

It's the same thing with that made-up Aniston/Jolie "feud".

When it first went down, simple-minded people thought, "Gee, Jennifer
must hate Angelina Jolie."

The tabloids tap into that sentiment and run with it.

Now Jennifer Aniston is portrayed as the sad, jilted woman- trying to
"get on with her life", while Jolie is the "evil husband-stealer."

I can tell you this: both of those women laugh when they read this
bullshit.

Flat chested. No figure. Emaciated face. Bones showing.

The Page3 females are mostly underweight.

A fair number of ribcages on display, but flat-chested? You must be joking.

Keira Knightly needs to eat. I used to find her attractive but that was
before her new look. She went from lean to anorexic and the sight of her
makes me uneasy.

See how the bones show through at the elbows, and you see bones instead
of tits on the chest area? That's underweight. Being that thin is very
dangerous to the health and well-being of a human female. Most women
that thin don't even have periods. Is that healthy? Fuck no that's not
healthy.

Since you are attracted to women with the bodies of skinny, teenage
boys, you are welcome to them.

Having sex with a skinny woman is like jumping on a pile of wire coat
hangers.

I don't see fatties as having curves. They are mostly blob shaped to my
eyes. I like a nice hour glass shape without the ribs showing.

Is this supposed to be someone famous?
She could drop 15 pounds. Maybe 20.
VR, you are nutty.
Should she look like a teenage boy to look right to you?
I'm with that. Folks that like Kate Moss and the ultra-skinny bod are
welcome to their preference. Amanda Tapping is not exactly my type, but
she is almost exactly the right size and shape.
I've known dozens of women who obssess over an extra ten or twenty pounds

"Curves" is the PC way of saying "fat".

Normal size hot women, like Kate Moss, Lindsey Lohan or Kiera Knightly
have all the curves you need, with no excess baggage,

Does it matter? You don't have to look good to appreciate good looks,
or are you saying that an overweight man MUST only like fatty chicks?

Generally if you see someone saying that "chicks" must have the figure
of a mop handle in order to be attractive, you can more or less
guarantee that the guy posting it is a great wobbling gelatinous blob.

This fringe-celeb is not fat, but she is chunky.

Keira Knightly is smoking-ass hot and a half.

Have you ever seen her in person?

Nobody has seen her in person; she has to stand a certain way or she
becomes invisible to the naked eye.

So far in this tread, the two two complains against Tapping are:

"She's fat."

"She's old."

This makes me believe that those posters are only interested in skinny
teenage girls.
