Description
Giant Red Rotala, Rotala macrandra
One of the most striking species in the Rotala genus is the Rotala Macrandra. Under ideal conditions the shoot tips may curl up and growth will stunt so this plant is a bit on the difficult side. New shoots will form spontaneously after some time and within a few days, then an amazingly lush and vigorous stand will develop. An overabundance of macro nutrients restricts the availability of trace elements which may cause the crippling of the shoots, so do not overdo it on the fertilizers or trace elements. Once R. macrandra begins to take off in your aquarium, leave it alone and let it flourish.
Minimum quantity for “Rotala Macrandra Aquarium Plant” is 3.
