Meyer’s Butterflyfish

Chaetodon meyeri

Blueish-white with black arched stripes.

Size : 18 cm

Habitat : Inhabits coral-rich lagoons and out reefs, 2-25 m. Adults usually swim in pairs through their home territory. Juveniles are usually alone and in horn corals. They feed exclusively on coral polyps.

Distribution : East Africa, the Maldives, Gulf of Bengal to the Philippines, SW Japan, Line Islands and GBR.
