Distribution: Eastern India to Papua New Guinea
Despite its specific name, C. ciliata var. ciliata may actually have a broader leaf, but it also isn’t always the case. C. ciliata var. latifolia is easily differentiated by its short, standing shoots growing off the base. These shoots are very brittle and break off readily. As a sterile plant, this works well to distribute its self across a broad range. It does still produce a flower, with less pronounced cilia on the limb than its counter-part.
