Xenia woman given 9 months after hitting deputy, leading crews on chase

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A Xenia woman was given 9 months in jail in connection with a New Year's Day chase.

Deputies pulled Toni Poole over around 6 a.m. after getting a report about a suspicious vehicle. They said she was driving erratically and they were trying to figure out what was going on.

However, they said she took off and hit a deputy, who rolled up onto the hood of the vehicle. Crews starting chasing her, and at one point, she threw her car into reverse and hit a cruiser.

The chase ended when Poole crashed near the intersection of State Route 725 and Interstate 675.

In addition to the time behind bars, she's also been ordered to pay more than $4,000 in restitution and serve 5 years probation.
