A new stage in the career of Stevan Jovetić can officially begin - after many big games through the five strongest leagues, the captain of Montenegro was officially presented as a new football player of Olympiakos.
The Greek giant used Jovetić's way of rejoicing when scoring goals and his imitation of Spider-Man to present him on social networks.
"Greetings to Olympiakos fans, I'm happy to be here and I can't wait to see you at the stadium," said Jovetić briefly.
Last night, "Jo-Jo" signed a one-year contract with the team from Piraeus with an option to extend it for another year. At the end of last season, he left Hertha Berlin.
Olympiakos will be Stevan Jovetic's eighth club - after Partizan, Fiorentina, Manchester City, Inter, Sevilla, Monaco and Hertha. He grew up in OFK Titograd (former Mladost).
Although frequent injuries (he took a long break twice) stopped him from making an even bigger career, Jovetić played as many as 450 games for the clubs where he played.
And this season, in addition to the Greek championship, he also faces challenges in the Europa League, where Olympiakos' rivals in the group stage will be West Ham, Freiburg and TSC.
Jovetić will make his debut for the new club after the international break, during which he will lead Montenegro in the European Championship qualifiers against Lithuania (Thursday) and Bulgaria (Sunday).
