They are native to Santa Catarina, Distrito Federal, Paraná, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Amazônia, Mato Grosso, RondôNia, Pará, Tocantins, Caatinga, Pernambuco, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Sergipe, Pantanal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, The Neotropics, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, and Ceará. They have achenes.
