Prince’s Lovesexy Tour Boots Up For Auction In June

On June 29, several items worn by Prince will be up for auction, more than two months after the iconic musician’s untimely death at his home in Minnesota. Fans of the “Purple Rain” singer mourned his death, with many celebrities and fellow artists paying tribute to his lasting impression on music.

Calabasas, Calif.-based memorabilia auction house Profiles In History is running the auction. Included in the lot is a pair of boots that Prince wore onstage during his Lovesexy Tour in 1988-89. The black suede over-the-knee boots have a 4.5-inch heel that is reinforced with a metal bracket to help support his highly active, dance-centered shows. The left boot is accessorized with a silver heart charm, and the right boot features a large white button on the outer knee area. The boots are lined with pink leather for a final fun touch.
