Adidas Spezial is hitting its 10th anniversary in 2024, and for its spring collection the line led by archivist Gary Aspden is dropping seven footwear styles, including six pairs of sneakers and one set of slides.

Two Gazelles in all-white and all-black lead the charge, with the rest of the sneaker lineup consisting of one-offs of the Handball Pro, Moston Super, Wensley Low and Whitworth. Adidas‘ iconic Adilette slide also gets the Spezial treatment in black with the straps taking on the texture of the line’s repeating logo.

The two Gazelles follow another duo from the line’s fall collection and utilize suede for the all-black colorway in reference to the Pulsebeat Spzl while adding denim as part of the white pair’s tonal look.

The Handball Pro, which features an upper with two shades of blue and off-white above a gum cupsole, is a nod to an obscure Adidas Handball silhouette unearthed by Aspden. A mostly greyscale Whitworth invokes ’80s runners and the color scheme of the Adidas Clipper, and the Moston Super features a tonal military green look while taking inspiration from the Adidas Arctic. Rounding out the sneaker assortment is the Wensley, which gets a new light brown color scheme and a redone tongue to celebrate Spezial’s 10-year anniversary.

Ashley Walters, an actor known for “Top Boy,” starred in the collection’s campaign and said in a press release: “It was such an honour to be a part of this campaign. Adidas is a brand that I have always aligned with throughout my career, and the Spezial range has only reinforced my love. 10 years of greatness, inclusivity, and connection with culture. Here’s to many more.”

A range of apparel and accessories will also include lightweight jackets, a track set, bag, cap and more.

The Adidas Spezial spring collection will release April 4 through the Confirmed app and select third-party retailers. Pricing for the footwear runs from $50 for the Adilette slides up to $140 for the Whirtworth.
