Del Mar, CA – August 30, 2012 – Congratulations to Michelle Parker in her dominating performance in this evening’s $32,000 Showpark Jumper Classic, presented by EquiFit, inc. Thirty-six horse and rider duos took on Canadian course designer Michel Vaillancourt’s track today in the one-round speed competition and only four were able to finish without fault. A triple combination, a liverpool vertical and blind angles created for numerous faults and refusals.Parker guided her first mount, thirteen-year-old gelding Socrates De Midos, to a very quick and clean round in 72.63 seconds, well under the time allowed of 81 seconds. Parker returned aboard her second mount the 2011 $31,000 Showpark Jumper Classic defending champion, Xel Ha. Carefully guiding the nine-year-old mare through the course, Parker was able to post the fastest round of the day, in 70.48 seconds.

Parker and Xel Ha, along with many top West Coast League Show Jumpers, will return on Saturday for the $50,000 Showpark World Cup Grand Prix as they compete for valuable World Cup Qualifying points.
