CRUSH ON YOU: OMAHYRA MOTA

CRUSH ON YOU: OMAHYRA MOTA

We don't think anyone knew what to expect when Omahyra Mota stepped onto the fashion scene. If you didn't catch her runway debut during Fall Fashion Week in 2001, you definitely saw her alongside Naomi Campbell in Jay Z's "Change Clothes" music video.

Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Queens, New York, Mota is one of the most recognizable faces in the modeling industry. Her androgynous good looks and tough-girl attitude made her stand out among countless pretty but unmemorable models. With her brand of sexy, brashly confident beauty, Mota conquered the industry, becoming one of its original bad girls.

We are totally obsessed with her individual style and unique features. It is this type of uniqueness that shakes things up and makes people appreciate everyone for their differences. Omahyra is a true inspiration and a testament of originality and for that it's only right that we make her our Women Crush Wednesday. We love us some you O!
