The next time you get a new drivers license at the DMV in Nevada - it will look quite different.

The new Nevada driver's licenses will rollout across the state starting July 12.

So what's new? Nevada's "Battle Born" emblem is featured prominently on the front of the license and it's complimented by the year 1864 which represents Nevada's statehood. To depict diversity and growth, the card design incorporates two Nevada skylines. The front of the card has the Las Vegas skyline while the back displays Carson City. The Sierra Nevada Mountains and Playa in the Black Rock Desert can be seen on the back of the card.

The new license was designed by a committee of DMV experts who worked closely with the law enforcement agencies across the state.

One unique touch is that the federal Real ID marker has been changed from a gold circle to the outline of Nevada.

The card also includes new security features like a laser engraved ghost image repeated from the photographer, the holder's date of birth is restated in a larger font and more.

The new design will be phased in at each of the 18 DMV offices across the state as the camera equipment at each location is upgraded. The Reno office will begin issuing the new design on July 14. Online services will convert to the new cards no later than August 1.

What do I do with my current ID? Previously issued driver's licenses are still valid until the expiration date listed on the card. You are not required to replace your current driver's license or ID card unless the current credential is expiring.

All DMV offices across Nevada will offer the new design by September 1.
