Prior to her retirement in 2019, Caroline Wozniacki married former NBA player David Lee. Lee has been a two-time All-Star and past NBA Finals champion for the Golden State Warriors. In 2005, he joined the New York Knicks to begin his NBA career. He joined the Golden State Warriors in 2010 and won a championship there. Lee has also suited up for the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, and Boston Celtics. In 2017, he retired from basketball with the Spurs.
Sometime in late 2016 or early 2017, Wozniacki and Lee started dating. On February 14, 2017, Valentine’s Day, Wozniacki announced her relationship with the former NBA player on social media. Later, her family members confirmed the relationship. The couple made an engagement announcement on November 2, 2017. On June 16, 2019, they got married, and a number of well-known people were there at the ceremony.
The news of Wozniacki’s return excited both herself and her family. She has now made the decision to return to playing professional tennis in order to support her family.
