For a graduate project at Stanford University, Google co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin used this logo.
The first Google Doodle, made by the co-founders, was introduced on August 30, 1998, for the Burning Man festival. It was also the only Doodle made for Burning Man.
On September 27, 1998, Google went public and shared its beta release with the world.
In May 1999, Google used the Catull font to tweak its logo.
About a decade later, Google changed its logo to sport a reduced drop shadow.
Three years later, Google’s logo evolved to look flatter with some typographical variations.
The logo as we know it today was first launched in September 2015. The four-colour ‘G’ icon along with Google dots was introduced.
