I’m A Celebrity 2016: Is Wayne Bridge’s ex Vanessa Perroncel about to enter the jungle?

As the old saying goes, revenge is a dish best served in the Australian jungle alongside a group of B-list celebrities and a host of TV cameras… right?

Well, Vanessa Perroncel – aka Wayne Bridge’s ex – could be about to serve a portion of payback pudding, as the enraged model might be heading into the I’m A Celebrity camp to confront the retired footballer over his “lies.”

According to the Daily Star, Ladbrokes has slashed Vanessa’s odds of joining the jungle line-up to 10-1 after she discovered “very late in the day” that her former fiancé was appearing on the survival-themed series.

Now married to The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, Wayne allegedly told Vanessa to dismiss speculation that he was going to be taking part in the show, whose filming clashes with their son Jaydon’s tenth birthday.

The 38-year-old has reportedly turned down countless opportunities to appear on reality shows, including I’m A Celebrity, herself – but that could all be about to change.

“Vanessa was offered the jungle six years ago and refused. When she texted Wayne to ask him if it was true or not, he told her to ignore the gossip,” a source told The Sun at the time.

“Now he’ll be in the jungle for weeks and she wasn’t even told. It was only very late in the day that he did admit it. The gloves could come off – until now she has refused many shows and interviews.”

The couple were together for five years until their split in 2009, and together they have one son, Jaydon, who they welcomed in 2006, just before Wayne signed a new contract with Chelsea.

“[Wayne] loved their privacy when they were together,” the source added. “He used to look unfavourably at people going on these shows and the intrusion they were inviting into their life, Vanessa would never have thought Wayne would go on.”

Since the show’s launch just over a week ago, Vanessa has been posting frequently on social media – perhaps providing clues for her potential revenge plot.

Sharing a black-and-white snap on November 3, the French lingerie model is seen pressing her finger against her lips. In the cryptic caption, she simply wrote: “Ssshh.”
