LeoVince has a new exhaust can on the market, aimed at single-cylinder dual sports. The new LeoVince X3 EVO looks a lot like similar exhausts from the company in the past, but it looks as if new materials should cut even more weight.

The main body for the X3 EVO is made of TIG-welded AISI 304 stainless steel; at the end of the muffler, there’s a carbon-fiber end cap with a matte clear coating. The X3 EVO attaches to the bike via welded brackets with rubber dampers to reduce vibration; some models have a carbon fiber strap instead. There’s a laser-etched logo on the side, making sure all your riding buddies know that you spent big bucks, as well as a set of two high-temp-resistant stickers that do the same thing. LeoVince throws a wash plug in the box when you order, as well as a dB killer insert with USFS-approved spark arrestor.

It’s good to see that dB killer included, and most riders should consider using it. Loud pipes lose rights, and historically, LeoVince’s cans have outperformed much of the competition in the noise-reduction department. Overly loud dirt bikes tend to eventually get banned from the trails, so think carefully before putting a new muffler on your bike. You may lose weight, but you may gain a lot of noise that will in turn lose you your riding spot.

However, LeoVince’s website doesn’t have much information on the X3 EVO’s actual dB rating… but it seems to be homologated for use in the EU, so it must not be too terribly unpleasant.

Note that LeoVince includes an exhaust for the Suzuki DR650 in its lineup again, along with the Kawasaki KLR650, Honda XR650L and Euro-built enduro-style dual sports. Also, note the price tag: Almost $500 USD! Full details here.
