If you're looking at this product, then you're in the market for lights and I'll say right off the bat, these lights are great! The colors look great and they are plenty bright if you're looking to light a small stage. I play in a 5-piece band so I'll definitely be ordering another set of wash lights to cover all of us. I also love that the bar has all of the power included, and has the option to mount additional lights on the bar and plug them in! That's super convenient if you're looking to add some effect lights (or even more wash lights). If you use DMX, then these lights will work great with your board. Since this is the Flex model, it's nice to not have to pay for an extra stand.
If I had only ordered the lights on the bar, this would be a 5-star review, but the bag, controller, and foot pedal bring this product down. The bag is pretty flimsy with mine already having some fraying around the seems when I took it out of the box. I've used other Chauvet 4bar systems in the past and the bags came with molded interiors to keep the lights from moving around; this bag is just open space. Don't jostle the bag around too much! The IR controller works, but the controls aren't very intuitive, nor is it a fast way to change things. Lastly is the foot pedal. I've used wired foot pedals in the past and they've worked great but Chauvet DJ opted to go with a wireless, IR foot pedal. This means you better have line-of-sight with the light bar if you want it to work. I mounted these lights about 6 feet off the ground and the foot pedal worked 40-50% of the time when on the ground around 10-15 feet in front of the lights (there are IR sensors on both sides of the light bar so that's a plus). I picked up the foot pedal and it's a little better (maybe 70% success rate). I like to use the blackout pedal to add some dynamics when playing; as soon as the first note hits, you pop the lights on. That's not really possible with the pedal because there seems to be a delay in hitting the pedal and the lights registering the signal.
Bottom line, I'm really happy with the lights, but disappointed that Chauvet DJ cheaped out on some the accessories compared to what they used to offer.
