Delwood owner opens Parkside, a new Latin-inspired restaurant, in Hyde Park
A new neighborhood bar and restaurant recently opened in Hyde Park.
Parkside, a new Latin American-inspired restaurant concept, is in the former Cork & Cap space at 2637 Erie Ave. According to owner Trevor Snowden, Parkside is an extension to his first restaurant, Delwood, in Mount Lookout.
Snowden, a Hyde Park resident, said he opened Parkside to create a friendly and accessible gathering place in his own neighborhood.
"When we opened Delwood in Mt. Lookout, it quickly became a neighborhood gathering place for folks that lived near Mt. Lookout square," Snowden told The Enquirer via email. "We felt like we had an opportunity to bring a similar atmosphere to Hyde Park Square on this side of town, hence the name 'Parkside.'"
Like its sister restaurant, the Parkside menu features classic pub food with a Latin twist. The new restaurant also features an extensive cocktail, wine and beer list. Although the offerings differ between locations, both concepts are inspired by Snowden's Peruvian heritage.
