Even if you haven't seen the 1999 classic teen movie Cruel Intentions, then you've probably still heard about that kiss.

But for those of you who haven't (watch the film immediately, seriously, it's a banger): Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) teaches a young and inexperienced Cecile (Selma Blair) how to french kiss. There was tongue. There was drool. It was A LOT.

It was undoubtedly a huge cinematic moment, and one that tons of queer people cite as the first kiss between two female characters they'd ever seen on TV or in film. It was without question, a biggie.

And of course, we've all been obsessed with it ever since. Aside from a reunion and reenactment of the scene back in 2015, and the mention of a Cruel Intentions TV show being in the works, we've been gagging for more snog-related insight from the stars for 20 goddamn years.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sarah and Selma finally got real about what filming that scene was really like. Selma explained, "I’d never kissed a girl before. I remember I was like, 'What if I really am a horrible kisser?'"

She remembered what it was like for her mum to watch the scene for the first time. And apparently her mother's response was, "Honestly, Selma, did you have to use so much tongue? That poor Sarah, she looks so delicate, and then you just have that Goliath in her mouth."

And as for Sarah, she was all about it. "All I remember thinking was, 'I could kiss Selma all day!'" she said. Yep, we get it.

She added, "Her skin was so soft. My skin is really sensitive, so when I kiss on camera a lot, it gets raw."

Back in October last year, Selma posted a picture to Instagram explaining she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Since then, she made her first public appearance at the Oscars - rocking an unreal gown/cape/cane combo.
