Extended ship will homeport in Venice and sail Mediterranean cruises in summer 2015

MSC Opera has returned to service following an extensive refurbishment as part of MSC Cruises’ €200 million Renaissance Programme.
The ship, which is the third of four vessels to be renovated as part of the Renaissance Programme, rejoined the MSC fleet on 4 July with 197 additional cabins – including 30 with balconies – and an interactive outdoor Spray Park, fresh dining spaces, a new lounge and an extended restaurant. It also has new purpose-built areas for children, which were created in partnership with Chicco and LEGO, as well as a new Baby Club, Mini Club, Young Club and Teens Club.
MSC Opera will now homeport in Venice, Italy, for the summer 2015 season. Sailing 14-day roundtrips from Venice, MSC Opera will call at Bari, the capital of southern Italy’s Puglia region; Constanta in Romania; Sochi, Russia; Dubrovnik in Croatia; Istanbul, Turkey; and Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Argostoli/Kefalonia in Greece.
The ship will then reposition to Havana in December 2015 to become the first MSC vessel to homeport in Cuba.
