Love-cheat John Terry flies to Dubai to face the music (and the in-laws) as wife lays down new ground rules for marriage

The scene is set for the performance of John Terry's life - but for once it won't be his football playing talents under the microscope.

The venue is Dubai and it will probably be wife Toni kicking off.

The shamed Chelsea captain is flying out tonight to save his marriage - and the presence of in-laws guarantees a hotter reception than usual in the Gulf state.

Sue and Alan have been lending support to their daughter out in Dubai and helping to look after their three-year-old twin grandchildren.

Yesterday Toni limbered up for the big showdown with another day of sunbathing and lounging poolside.

But the good news for Terry is that Toni is preparing to take him back - as long as he abides by a strict new set of rules.

The 28-year-old WAG has apparently told the disgraced footballer, 'It's my way or it's over,' and demanded he curtails his boisterous lifestyle.

In a series of tearful phone calls to the £170,000-a-week international, she is believed to have said: 'Things have to change. There will be no more chances. Please, I really want this to work. I know you do too.'

Terry was sacked as England captain last week over revelations of his affair with a team-mate’s former girlfriend, Vanessa Perroncel.

Now his wife has insisted that in future he must come straight home after training, have far fewer nights on the town and agree to marriage counselling, according to The Mirror.

Backing: Toni strolls along the beach with her father

Toni fled to Dubai on January 29 after revelations of his affair with Miss Perroncel, a French model who has a child with former Chelsea player Wayne Bridge.

Terry is due to fly out after tonight's match with Everton, and will be allowed to miss the weekend's FA Cup tie against Cardff.

Yesterday his wife said she was 'really looking forward' to seeing him.

‘I am so glad he has been given the time off and really pleased he could make it,' she said. 'We’ll enjoy our time together and make the most of it.’

But behind her joy lies a steely resolve to make sure her husband never cheats again.

A friend claimed: 'Toni knows it's unrealistic to know where John is 24/7 but he has to be much more open with his movements.

'She wants him to come home straight after training or have a very good reason why he can't.

'Toni knows it sounds controlling but what else can she do? At the moment, there is a serious lack of trust and John needs to earn her confidence.'

Mrs Terry’s apparent confidence and determination to save her marriage contrasts sharply with the red-eyed and ashen-faced figure she cut last week as she sat by a pool, staring into space.

Yesterday she skipped along a beach smiling as she strolled with her father. Mrs Terry, wearing a white bikini, beamed with pleasure as she showed him new jewellery she had bought.

She looked equally at ease playing with her three-year-old twins Georgie John and Summer Rose.

Earlier she enjoyed a shopping spree and a visit to a beauty salon ahead of her husband's visit.

Meanwhile, back in England yesterday, Terry’s betrayed former team-mate Wayne Bridge reportedly snubbed his ex-girlfriend Miss Perroncel when she travelled 200 miles to pick up their son.

She called at his home in Cheshire 48 hours after reportedly telling friends she was keen to get back together.

She set off from the Surrey home the couple once shared at about 6am to collect three-year-old Jaydon.

But Bridge, who now plays for Manchester City, was not around when she arrived at 9.50am, according to The Sun.

The footballer had driven off in his Porsche at 9.20am to go to training ahead of last night's match against Bolton.

Even his mother, Wendy, refused to come out of the house - leaving his father, Mick, to hand over Jaydon.

A source claimed: 'It was a very brief meeting and very frosty. Wendy won't have anything to do with Vanessa.'

According to the newspaper, Bridge was 'livid' when he discovered Vanessa had slept with Terry while their son had been in the house.

He is said to have screamed at his ex-partner: 'I can't believe you had sex with him in our house with Jaydon there. I pay you enough a month - you could have got a hotel room.'
