Wayne Bridge emerges with Meg Ryan (no... not that one!)

Just last month Vanessa Perroncel was holding out hopes of a reconciliation with teh father of her child, Wayne Bridge.

However it seems the Manchester City has moved on - with Meg Ryan no less.

While his new female companion shares a name with the famous When Harry Met Sally actress, her life is a little less starry.

Wayne met barmaid Meg, 27, a nightclub in New York while on a recent holiday and is said to have paid for her to fly over to visit him in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.

The pair were spotted emerging from a local supermarket yesterday.

A source tells The Sun: 'Wayne met Meg on holiday in the summer and the pair really hit it off.

'She's a really fun girl and puts a smile on his face.'

Ex factor: Vanessa Perroncel, pictured last month, had been hoping for a reconciliation with Bridge

It's the first woman Wayne, 30, has been linked to since England team-mate John Terry's alleged affair with his ex Vanessa.

The former WAG denies having a two-month affair with married father of twins Terry and recently revealed she wanted to get back with Wayne.

'It would be lovely, but you know, Wayne might not feel that way,' she said in an interview on GMTV.

'Whether we get back together or not, you know, crazier things have happened.'

The former couple have a three-year-old son, Jaydon.
