Le Boxette, a “handy” bag

Versatility is the defining characteristic for Le Boxette, a brand that has been registered for a little over two years and carries on the history of Made in Italy blended with Roberta's particular innovation.

Roberta Pasini is the founder and creative force behind this bag collection. She decided to pursue her passion for fashion after quitting a career that did not reflect her personality.

When she first started working on her debut collection, the primary pillars of her creative process were two: the object's flexibility and the Made In Italy tradition. Learn more about Roberta and her creative venture in this piece!

Where did it all start?

I have always designed my own shoes and meticulously researched my accessories; therefore, I decided to start over and enroll in a fashion design course in 2017 with a major in accessories. Bags were always the center of my attention, and they continue to be so.

What are the cornerstones on which the brand rests? Have they been there from the beginning?

The prestige of Made in Italy is embodied in the hammered leather, a material that allows for the interchangeability of bags. I am a firm passionate about leather, in my opinion, it is not only appealing to the eye, but it also has a great deal of oomph, especially in terms of color.

As far as I can tell, leather is the chosen material. Have you tried any other methods?

I tried to use saffiano leather, a Gucci innovation that is stiffer but even more valuable, for the latest collection. Working with this material, I created my most recent 3D collection, which, as its name suggests, is an evolution of my flat models. In summer 2020, I also shifted to a more straightforward but still fashion-sustainable experimentation, creating vegan leather shopping bags, ranging from clutches to shoulder bags. The simplicity of the vegan leather is blended with the distinctiveness of the Swarovski calligraphy in this limited edition, which is totally handmade. But I never veer from the concept that underpins all my creations: adaptability. These bags can also be convertible in an easy way.

Please tell us about your collection. What model did you begin with, and how far did your creativity take you?

The first Moonlight model is the collection's nerve center, the starting point for the bag's continual evolution: from a backpack to a clutch to a bracelet bag, as well as a shoulder bag. The company is still in the research phase, with the study of leathers and design developing as the ambition to expand across the board grows. The velvet lettering on the t-shirt and the versatile key ring, which doubles as a necklace, are the first eclectic signs of this ambitious experimentation. The collection now includes other three valuable models.

Francy was designed to carry tablets or PCs due to its square shape and incorporated shoulder strap, but it can be folded and transformed into a unique and exquisite clutch purse for the evening.

Moonlight Bag/Bracelet is a flat bag/clutch bag that can be worn like a bracelet and is made of actual hammered leather. The pastel colors of cream, pink, and sky, as well as the format, make them ideal for weddings and celebrations. The Mini Moonlight Bag/3D Bracelet now has a more structural base and a shoulder strap.

Rebecca is a fantastic and practical multifunctional backpack that can be converted into a shoulder bag, clutch bag, or vice versa with a few easy changes.

What about your prospects?

In Italy, I've attended luxury marketplaces and worked with a few boutiques. I'm still conducting research, but the collection remains focused on adaptability, Made In Italy, and my enthusiasm.

The collection is available for purchase through direct contact (DMs) on the Instagram page or at the email contact: leboxette@gmail.com
