Rotala macrandra

Rotala macrandra is arguably one of the most beautiful plants in the aquarium hobby. Although the plant is very variable in nature, the forms grown by Florida Aquatic Nurseries are, we think, some of the prettiest, and easier than many. (though most would not call this an easy plant!) Rotala macrandra demands at least moderate light levels and it must have supplemental CO2 and good nutrition or it will be prone to melting, and will never look its best. Under good conditions, however, the plant is breath-taking and a fast grower.
