HANS TICHA

6 September to 2 November 2019

Humorous-subversive is the view that Hans Ticha (*1940) casts on society and politics, resorting to formative means of pop art.
His "claps", raised fists, torn slogan shouting necks, which ironically question the socialist ritual of applause in bright colours, have become famous. Ticha's paintings are in many museums, institutions and private collections in Germany and abroad. The gallery shows a selection of works from 1975 to 2018.
