Gorgoroth

Guitarists Infernus and Tormentor are the center of the Norwegian black metal outfit Gorgoroth, which took its name from the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. Despite numerous lineup changes, especially in the revolving-door rhythm section, Gorgoroth's basic, few-frills take on the trademark Norwegian sound remained fairly steady, and the group eventually managed to land an international deal with Nuclear Blast.
