If time is money, then surely money is time. It certainly seems to be this 31 December, when $26,000 (£20,400) can buy you the opportunity to turn back the clock and celebrate New Year’s Eve twice.

The innovative concept from Crystal Skye, which operates a private Boeing 777-200LR charter jet, allows passengers to see in 2019 in Tokyo, Japan, first before heading to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a second bite of the apple.

The package, dubbed the New Year Double Countdown Celebration, runs from 29 December to 4 January, and facilitates two New Year’s Eve parties by flying guests across the International Date Line, meaning they gain 24 hours.

Although pricey, the one-of-a-kind holiday includes a variety of high-end perks. Guests attend a dinner party at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba with a fireworks display over Tokyo Disneyland and sumo wrestling as part of the entertainment.

They then board the private jet, which is customised with 88 first-class flat-bed seats, a lounge seating 24 and a stand-up bar. Onboard amenities include noise-cancelling headphones, Wi-Fi and 24” HD monitors, while staff such as butlers and an inflight executive chef ensure passengers have a flight to remember.

Touching down in Sin City, travellers will celebrate for a second time with a Celine Dion concert at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace.

It’s not the company’s first double NYE package – last year those who wanted two goes at welcoming in 2018 could book a trip from Sydney to Honolulu at a cost of $19,999pp (£15,700).

The holiday included the chance to watch the Sydney Harbour New Year’s Eve Fireworks from a private floating barge with champagne and hors d’oeuvres, plus an exclusive gala dinner onboard the USS Missouri – the last battleship commissioned by the United States and the historic site of the end of World War II.
