Greta M. Linse is a third generation Montanan. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in 2002 and earned her M.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from Montana State University (MSU) in 2006 and 2008 respectively. After graduate school Greta worked for a local statistical software company focusing on analysis of genetic data. She wore multiple hats including project manager, technical writer, director of customer support and services. Returning in 2016 to MSU, Greta has taught mathematics and statistics classes for the Department of Mathematical Sciences. In 2018 Greta became the Project Manager for the Human Ecology Learning and Problem Solving (HELPS) Lab (now Senior Project Manager) and joined SCRS in January 2020 as the Assistant Director and in July 2022 became Interim Director of SCRS.

 
 
David Lartey

David Lartey, Graduate Research Assistant

David E. Lartey is from Ghana, West Africa. Before moving to Montana State University in 2016, he graduated with a B.Sc. in Statistics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi - Ghana. He graduated with an M.S. in Statistics in May 2018. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Statistics. His research interests include Design of Experiments and Time Series. When not studying, he loves to play and watch basketball.

Sally Slipher, Research Staff

 

Sally Slipher is from New Berlin, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2013 with a B.A. in Psychology. After working as a research assistant in cognitive neurology at Johns Hopkins University, she earned an M.S. in Statistics from Montana State University in 2020. Her research interests include biostatistics and clinical research. She enjoys long-distance trail running and endurance swimming, as well as looking for Montana wildflowers.

Dennis (DJ) Moritz, Graduate Research Assistant

Dennis (DJ) Moritz was born and raised down the road in Butte Montana. In 2014, he graduated from Montana Tech with Bachelors’ degrees in Mathematics and Statistics. He continued to earn Masters’ degrees in Mathematics at the University of Montana in 2016 and in Statistics at Montana State University in 2021. Currently, he is finishing his PhD in Statistics at Montana State University focusing on experimental design. Outside academic pursuits, DJ enjoys backpacking, running, and biking as well as chess and choral singing.

 
 
McBeth Ahortor

McBeth Ahortor, Graduate Research Assistant

McBeth Ahortor is a Ghanaian who graduated from Montana State University with a Master of Science degree in Statistics. He is currently enrolled in the PhD statistics program. His research interests lie in the methods of high-dimensional statistical inference within the multiple hypothesis framework and mixed effects modelling. He enjoys playing and watching soccer.

 
 
Sarah Adigwe

Sarah Adigwe, Graduate Research Assistant

Sarah Adigwe is from Nigeria, West Africa, and attained her B.Tech in Applied Mathematics from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in 2021. Following this, she gained valuable experience as a data analyst for two years before pursuing her M.S. in Applied Mathematics at Montana State University in 2023. Her research interests include algorithm optimization, financial modeling, and time series analysis. Outside of academia, she delights in exploring new places and dancing.
