Yes Katrina is a clinical Midwife Specialist Sonographer in the field of Obstetric and Gynaecological ultrasound. Se has worked as a midwife for over 15 years and then embarked on the new and exciting career of becoming a sonographer.

Our priority is well being of baby and mum so we start with a well being check. This includes listening to baby’s heart beat and reassuring mum with a 2D scan before we begin the 3D and 4D imagery.

Then invited gusts can join the parents to share in the experience.

Images and videos are shared on print and via email afterwards.

In addition to our scan packages extra image prints, framed prints and keepsakes are available on the day.

In order to maintain a safe and professional environment, we ask that no more than 4 guests attend a scan. This gives plenty of space for partners, excited grandparents, brothers and sisters or even friends an opportunity to share in your scan experience.

New Beginnings has a private facility located in a secure business park just outside the town of Strabane with ample parking and a ground floor premises with wheelchair accessibility.

Please arrive 10mins before your scan appointment to meet the sonographer and confirm the info on your paperwork.

Take a few minutes to relax and ask any questions before being taken into the scan room by your Sonographer.

Yes 3D baby scanning is safe. 3D Ultrasound is a reconstruction of the captured 2D image, where the pixels are conveted into voxels to create a lifelike representation of the area being scanned. The 3D/4D modes use the same type of sound waves and energy as standard ultrasound therefore when applied by a qualified professional with knowledge of the recommended safety thresholds and timescales any risks to the baby would be kept to a minimum.
