Lady Gaga Post Sends Fans Into Frenzy

Lady Gaga has teased fans that new music might be on the horizon by sharing a series of photos of her in a music studio.

The singer has been focusing more on her acting career as of late, appearing in 2021's House of Gucci as Patrizia Reggiani and she will soon be starring as Harley Quinn in the upcoming movie Joker: Folie à Deux, which is stated to be a "musical thriller."

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has a fiercely loyal fan base, which she calls her "Little Monsters," and her recent Instagram snaps have sent them into a frenzy with the star teasing that she is about to drop some new music.

Taking to Instagram late Monday, Gaga shared two images of her standing in a two-tone striped jumper dress and black sunglasses, with black headphones and the caption of a black heart and music note emojis.

The room the star is standing in is clearly a music studio with a microphone and drum kit seen in one image and the same microphone, a guitar and tambourine resting on a sofa seen in the second image.

At the time this article was published, it had received over 758,000 likes and 19,600 comments from Instagram users.

Gaga's screentime has meant her music has been far and few between over the last few years. In 2021, she released the album Love for Sale with Tony Bennett, and in 2022, she released "Hold My Hand" which was featured in the movie Top Gun: Maverick.

The potential news of fresh songs was met with excitement from fans.

"WE ARE READY!!" a social media user said.

Other comments from her "Little Monsters" came pouring in. "Oh she's cooking!!!," "MOTHER WE ARE READY!!!!!", "I'm gonna have a heart attack" and "OH SHES COMING" were just a few of the enthused statements.

RuPaul's Drag Race star Aquaria said: "Bring it on," while fellow show alumni Bob the Drag Queen said: "MY BODY IS READY."

Other celebrities and notable entertainment individuals who also commented on the post included comedian Benito Skinner, whose online persona Benny Drama has 1.4 million Instagram followers, singer Zach Campbell, Canada's Drag Race star Scarlett BoBo and the official account of the social dating app Grindr.

Although it is unclear if the studio is based in California, where the star resides, if the image was posted late Monday night PT, it left some fans of the star from around unable to sleep. One excited social media user commented: "IT'S FOUR IN THE MORNING. WHY DO U DO THIS AT THIS TIME?" and another echoed this: "I'm so sleep deprived but HELLO??? I CAN'T BREATHE."

In support of the star's surprise post, multiple followers commented underneath to share their location times, such as "8 pm in LA", "It's 11 pm in Atlanta, so she is good" and "It's 12 noon in the Philippines. She's fine" to back up that it was the perfect time to share the good news.

Although the image may imply that the star is working on music there are no clues in the snaps to show if she is working on an entire album or where she was in her new music journey—first session, simply trying out new things or several songs in. Meaning fans may have wait to a long time for a new track or perhaps 2024 will be the return of Lady Gaga to the charts.
