Alison Mosshart gives “patronising speech” at Kate Moss’s wedding – Tabloid Hell

“It was tumbleweed stuff,” says one onlooker, as unimpressed bride is left with “her head in her hands”

Alison Mosshart killed the mood at the rock and roll nuptials of her bandmate Jamie Hince and his model wife Kate Moss with a disastrous speech, according to one of the tabs today.

The Kills‘ singer gave a “boring and patronising speech” that left guests begging Moss’s brother to pull the plug on her microphone, The Sun reckons.

Hince and Moss tied the knot last week (July 1) at a VIP-packed ceremony in the Cotswolds, with guests including The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite’s Mick Jones, Jade Jagger and Sadie Frost.

Mosshart was acting as Hince’s best man, but according to one source, her lengthy speech which included embarrassing anecdotes about the groom and a list of advice to Moss on “how to treat her man” was not well received by those in attendance.

“It was tumbleweed stuff. Alison got it all wrong,” said the anonymous source. “It was a rambling, boring and patronising speech. Kate had her head in her hands by the end and people were telling Kate’s brother to pull the plug on the microphone.”

According to the Daily Mirror, it wasn’t all bad for the guests – they were treated to a rendition of ‘I Will Always Love You’ by the Gossip‘s Beth Ditto, and another number by Roxy Music singer Bryan Ferry.
