A New Zealand Mistletoe species (Ileostylus micranthus) growing on a Kowhai (Sophora microphylla). This parasite grows on a range of host plants, mainly New Zealand natives and which may eventually kill its host. This species has clusters of small, inconspicuous flowers but these are followed by sprays of translucent yellow fruits that can be quite showy. Order: Santalales, Family: Loranthaceae
