After missing the Norwich City match through illness, Calvin Ramsay’s health will need to be assessed ahead of Tuesday.

Milutin Osmajić will also be monitored, with his return from injury expected either at the John Smith's Stadium or for the weekend’s visit of Watford.

Long-term absentee Emil Riis may also be in contention for that game at Deepdale against the Hornets.

Opposition Focus

Huddersfield Town, who occupy 21st position in the Championship – two points above the drop zone – head into Tuesday night unbeaten in their last four.

The vastly-experienced Neil Warnock left the club in September and former Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore took over, tasked with moving the Terriers up the table.

They’ve picked up some positive results in recent weeks, most notably a 2-1 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, but the manager was left disappointed at the weekend that his side let a lead slip to draw at home to Bristol City.

A Recent Clash

North End ran riot at the John Smith’s Stadium last August in round one of the Carabao Cup.
