Hydrocotyle Verticillata Characteristics
In the warmer regions of America, Hydrocotyle Verticillata is a fairly common plant in nature. It prefers very humid soils and also grows in shallow water. It differs from the more widespread Leucocephala species in the shape of its leaves that form like a small umbrella and have no groove.
For ideal growth, good lighting and not too hard water is recommended. It can also be kept in emerged form, it can even be grown as a houseplant or, during hot months, as a potted plant in the garden.
Growing this species in an aquarium is not really difficult. One of the most important factors is light, since its height depends on the intensity of the light. The more intense, the smaller the plant will be. Other than that, your requirements regarding nutrients and CO2 supply are not necessary. However, a balanced supply of nutrients and CO2 injection will be beneficial for plant growth. If they subscribe Nutrients, unfortunately the small size that so many fans love in this plant will disappear and grow much larger leaves.
