I'm selling 'Patches'.
this:
With the log-book in hand you will be able to enter any NW rally event.
It runs and drives and I'd be willing to enter it at Mt Hood because I won't cry if it breaks during that event/ever again.
It isn't 'ready to rally' but some spares and the whole car/seats/belts/fire/firstaid/spill/jack/towrope will be included.
Why am I selling it?
-it isn't worth the 'rolling parts car' idea
-it's easier to fix 'Patches' than build the new car 'Hatches', and I NEED to finish 'Hatches'
-it hit 30 events (that means I'm a professional). It's time to move on.
-as fast as it can go, it can't keep up with John Reed/Derik Nelson, and I'm here to win Gp2
Why should you buy it?
-You want to go race - NOW
-You love RWD
-You love Toyota's
-You wan't to beat VWs, SAABs, Subarus, Hondas, Fiestas, Volvos, Xrattys, Nissans, Mazdas . . .
-You're a huge fan boy of the Crane Rally Crew and want a piece of history
What I'm not ready/willing to fix on it in order to run Mt Hood (why i'm selling it now instead of fixing it).
-I F'd with the timing at Nameless, it was running poorly (due to ECU cable coming unplugged). FIX THE TIMING.
-I broke the rear axle housing. we welded it back at service (thanx!) but who knows what happened to the axle shaft, or ring and pinion, or axle alignment. I have another Volvo rear end, and have been meaning to build a Jig to make replacement axles an easy job, but know that 3 days (nights) to get a fresh housing ready is too much for me now.
-Front struts - Talk to John about replacements or rebuilds, one of them may (still) be slightly bent.
-KN air filter is covered in dirt from catching ALL the cars on Nawhatzl (where I hold records for Best driving Ever in the history of rally ever).
-Oh, and it's still dirty.
To ME, this is basic re-prep stuff. I was going to 'rent' the car to my Dad for Mt Hood, and started to fix some of this, then stopped.
YOU still have time to get this straightened out before the event, because everything else is done and READY!
