About My Clients

Do you feel like the past is robbing you from the present moment? Or like the past keeps repeating itself? It may be a new relationship, new situation or experience, however, you continue to feel this anguish as if "it's happening all over again." Traumatic experiences can leave very deep wounds in our psyche, most times, we don't even realize how these unprocessed experiences continue to impact our present, including our relationships. And it doesn't have to - therapy can help you.

My Background and Approach

We learn a lot about ourselves and what we attract by uncovering our unconscious mind. Increasing our awareness regarding our past and understanding our present patterns without judgment, expands our ability to live a meaningful life in wholeness - more integrated, authentic, and able to cope with adversities. We will explore what lies underneath your challenges by exploring repressed experiences and emotions, fantasies, desires, childhood and familial dynamics. I often provide therapy using jungian and psychodynamic approaches, exploring the unconscious realms of existence. I also provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based alternative to traditional talk therapy for trauma processing. Additionally, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for skills building when needed.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Recognizing the worth, dignity, uniqueness and journey of each person can truly vitalize and empower us - and that is why I decided to become a therapist. I see the whole of you: your pain, strengths, desires, experiences, dreams…you are welcome and safe in our space just the way you are. I will support you in finding your own way to yourself - with all that you are - to live an authentic and integrated life. I immigrated to the United States when I was a preteen and have personal and professional experiences related to big life transitions, such as impacts of immigration and acculturation. I am a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed therapist, as a value all walks of life and respect each person’s uniqueness. I am also a certified yoga teacher (one of my biggest hobbies) and value the connection of our mind, body and soul and how this dynamic may also support trauma processing/healing.
