Fortuna Hjørring have been awarded a 3-0 win by default after successfully protesting that Olympique Lyonnais fielded two ineligible players during the club's UEFA Women's Champions League match in France on 12 November.

Protest
The UEFA Appeals Body today upheld the initial protest lodged by the Danish club concerning the eligibility of Lyon players Christine Nilsen and Isabell Lehn Herlovsen for the Round of 16 second-leg match, which the French team won 5-0.

Successful appeal
Fortuna had claimed that the two Lyon players were not properly registered for the competition, and although their protest was rejected by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body on 13 November, that latter decision has now been annulled on appeal. The result of the second-leg game, which followed a 1-0 first-leg victory for Lyon in Denmark, has been amended to a 3-0 win for Hjørring. UEFA will, in due course, determine the repercussions of this verdict on the competition.
