Algae ID, Is it bryopsis?

I've just pulled this out of my tank, I've pulled it out a few times but it takes months to get to this size, which is not much bigger than a thumb nail, it pulls out easy.

Is it bryopsis, thanks for any input IMG_20190706_193014.jpg IMG_20190706_193028.jpg IMG_20190706_193051.jpg IMG_20190706_193055.jpg IMG_20190706_193109.jpg

Nah mate, bryopsis is fern type algae leaves and these don't look like the ones i know about.
This is what bryopsis looks like in the tank and yours defo not like that.

Interesting as it is, I'd keep it in the tank and see what happens. As long as someone ID's and it isn't evasive, looks pretty neat and harmless.

Cheers chaps, i didn't think it was but I generally convince myself it's something bad, I guess it still could be, hopefully Mr @Esox or someone else will come along and give me a clue

It's 'bush cladophora' a lovely slow growing algae that I paid a frikkin fortune for 8 month back!! Lucky you.

I would ID it further but I'm currently dying on the couch with the mother of all hangovers so that ID will do, the thought of spending 20 minutes looking at pictures of hundreds of chondria and cladophora species fills me full of dread.

It's most likely Cladophora pellucida or something similar

That will do bud cheers, I guessed off the speed of its growth it can't be a bad thing but you never know.

Thanks, and keep movement down to a minimum  and drink water like you were drinking beer last night

Need better pics under white. If Bryopsis algae, should see fern like stems like this.

Looks like Calothrix sp. To me so it's a species of cyano bacteria, hence why vibrant didnt touch it. Need a shot under whites for 100% ID

Not had algae as bad as this before. It’s a orangey brown colour not purple red like Cyano.

Taken some more pics. Hope they help. Are we thinking lights off. What about hydrogen peroxide? Big water change?

Thanks for your help
