In what is by far the most unexpected, yet awesome announcement we've seen in a few weeks, Electronic Arts has revealed new cast additions for *Red Alert 3's *PC-exclusive Uprising expansion pack, including recently retired professional wrestling legend Ric Flair.
Joining Flair in Uprising are Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), Jamie Chung (Dragonball Evolution), Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (Prison Break), and Holly Valance (DOA: Dead or Alive). Gemma Atkinson and Ivana Milicevic also appear, though both ladies are merey reprising their roles from Red Alert 3.
I stopped watching pro wrestling back in the mid 90s, but even I recall Flair as easily one of the greatest showmen the sport has ever seen. I have no doubt he'll be able to hold his own among the other actors EA has hired to chew the scenery in the game's over the top live action cutscenes.
Plus, after dropping a nuke on a horde of Russian tanks, I can't think of a better exclamation than Flair's trademark "WOOOO!"
