Spiky or bumpy texture

When translating a description of an object, how would you describe something "spiky" or "bumpy?"
(In this case a plastic/vinyl cushion with a bumpy texture.)

The photo of the shoe is an example of this texture.

The dictionary suggests puntiaguda - but I don't want to give the impression of metal, or painful spikes.

Suggestions?

Rugoso, maybe. Áspero would be too harsh of a word.

Since the adjective obviously needs to have a positive connotation (it's a cushion, not a torture device), I wonder how erizado would sound to a native. That means bristly, among other things.

Además de "pinchos" como ya puso MCL (eso sí, para España porque por mi tierra pincho no es una palabra muy recomendable), en otra página española de artículos deportivos he visto "Plantilla de TPR con puntos de goma de masaje para ofrecer la máxima comodidad al pie."
