While improving the look of one of the top display panels—a Samsung LED-lit 4K screen—Bang & Olufsen also added some technical upgrades. The Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Avant—which is available with a 55-inch ($7,995) or 85-inch ($22,995) screen—features a sound bar that glides down from the bottom of the screen when the TV is turned on and glides back up when turned off. The sound bar, which is driven by a three-channel speaker system that harnesses three dedicated tweeters, three midrange units, and two bass drivers, is a considerable improvement over the built-in audio of even high-end TVs. The Avant also features technology that adjusts the screen brightness according to the amount of light in the room, and the screen has a coating that reduces reflection. (bang-olufsen.com)
