NEW RELEASE: Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Avant TV

This morning The Gentleman’s Journal, along with a set of other London based journalists, were invited to the launch of Bang & Olufsen’s brand new product, the mightily impressive BeoVision Avant TV.

To this television, the Danish brand have attached the slogan “The One that Moves”. Dramatic and intriguing, these words go some way to explain the revolutionary technology and forward thinking ideology that their new product represents. The BeoVision Avant moves in a way that we, here at The Gentleman’s Journal, haven’t seen in any other television before it. Placed on a circular ‘orbit’ stand, when the television is switched on, the set rotates, swivels and slides, standing to attention ready for the use of the watcher. Bang & Olufsen claim that life – not specifications – set their agenda, and with the BeoVision Avant TV you can see exactly how their research into ‘real life’ has come into play. As well as rotating on an axis, the television is able to move around the stand actually bringing it closer to the watcher. It comes to you rather than the other way around meaning that the TV can be watched by anyone in the room without having to compromise on a quality watching experience.

This again plays into the ideals of the brand. Maintaining that technology should never overpower a room, when the TV is in use, its impressive mobility means that it can dominate the room. However, when it is turned of, the speakers (which automatically drop down from below the screen) disappear back into the set and it returns to its passive position at the back of the stand. Great, huh?

This immersive experience is continued in the quality of the screen and the sound. The 55 inch 4K LCD screen is Ultra HD, the BeoVision also includes an integrated three channel stereo which means there is a central speaker to improve sound quality. This appreciation for the sound is continued through the BeoVision Avant with the integration of Spotify and Deezer as well as the WiFi, 6 HDMI ports and the capacity for wireless audio. Through the many HDMI points, externals such as an XBOX and BlueRay Player, can be connected to the television. However, to avoid mess and clutter, these systems can all be wirelessly connected so there is no need to have it anywhere near your BeoVision Avant TV.

Simplicity is one of the things that Bang & Olufsen are known and loved for, and this is continued in the remote control, or the BeoRemote One. Not only does it control everything on the TV (SKY box, playstation) eliminating the need for other remotes, it also has three ‘My Buttons’. These can be programmed to your preferred TV viewing position, volume and TV content. This means that with a simple click of a button, the owner can have all their personal needs taken care of.

The Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Avant 55 inch retails at £5,995, though this does not include the motorised table stand or any other the other stands or brackets on offer.
